Role I Play
As a Nurse Shift Manager, my role is to lead and support a team of oncology nurses, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care. I am responsible for coordinating staffing, overseeing patient flow, and mentoring nurses thoughtout the shift as well as during high-acuity chemo treatments.

Team Collaboration
I work closely with bedside nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and team leaders to align on treatment protocols. I also partner with case managers and social workers to support patient needs beyond the infusion, ensuring continuity of care.

Outcome
Through consistent leadership presence, clear communication, and evidence-based practice, our team is reducing adverse events, improving treatment timeliness, and increasing overall staff morale. Patients and families report higher satisfaction, and our unit recently demonstrated measurable gains in both safety and efficiency.
